Why Study B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology?

This program has long been well recognized in Thailand and is directly related to the food industry. It focuses on applying knowledge in food science and technology to analyze and solve problems in the food industry. Students will gain intensive training in both theoretical and practical aspects of food science, including hands-on laboratory work.

The program also covers various types of food, such as functional foods, Western cuisine, Thai food, and desserts. Students will gain real industry experience during their studies. The food industry continues to have strong demand for graduates from this program, as reflected by the high employment rate of graduates between 2015–2017, ranging from 74.6% to 94.1%.

Why Study B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology at KMITL?

The Food Science and Technology program at the Faculty of Food Industry, KMITL, stands out from other institutions by allowing students to choose a specialization based on their interests and strengths. The program offers two main tracks:

1. Food Science and Technology
This track focuses on developing skills as food scientists and technologists, preparing students to work in food production processes, quality assurance and control, and food product development in industrial food manufacturing, which is widely present in Thailand and the ASEAN region.

2. Food Service Technology and Management
This track emphasizes additional skills in culinary arts, food presentation, and food business management, including food service technology. Graduates can work in both the food industry and food service sectors, such as central kitchens, restaurants, hotels, catering services, and other food-related service industries, as well as start their own businesses.
