I appreciate your efforts in promoting knowledge of micro controllers. I am Amish Vishwakarma, working as an embedded designer in India. My work mainly is on industrial designs using 8/32 bit controllers normally using linux operating system. Let me tell you something about the downloader. The file pr51.hex is reverse engineered to be compatible with eazy downloader version 3 and above. certain new interface is added which are as follows "p" will return chip as "chip, non blank bytes, setcounter" as per the original, however it returns chip as 89c51 if an adapter is added a new interface "i" was added which will give chip id of even 20 pin devices. "?" was added to give help. As per the application Ez5vb. It is a non frill simple interface designed in vb6. To educe the size no extra library was used except "mscomm.ocx". And only compiled binary is sent to limit bandwith. This software is designed to work with pr51.hex and will not work with ez52.hex owing to use of new syle of chip interrogation "i" instead of "p". It is still a beta and qualifies as "one night test project" since i am not a window programmer. I will try to improve it with users' feedback, if any. Another firmware to use ez downloader to pogram 89c51/52/55, 89cx051, 89s51/52/53/8252/8253 is under test on my system. I am unable to confirm it due to lack of time and want of sample chips (not all are available in the market). I hope to release it at soon as possible. Hope you will find this work interesting. I am also in process of building my web page http://www.qsl.net/vu2aie/ but again lack time. regards Amish Amish Vishwakarma A-955/3, Indira Nagar, Lucknow. 226 016, India ph: +91 98390 64353 v_amish@yahoo.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wichit Sirichote" To: "amish" Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2004 4:01 PM Subject: Re: A modification for easy downloader > Amish, > > Thanks for your work, I'll add it to the contribution page.
