The International College, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology of Ladkrabang, is
organizing a seminar in Software Engineering for the academic year 2011 (June - Sept 2011).
The objectives of the seminar is to
- Educate the audience with recent developments in software engineering and software technology
in all aspects, such as technical, practical, social, industrial, legal, and moral aspects;
- Provide an opportunity for students and academic staffs to learn about the software industry
and the software engineering methodologies in the real world;
- Be a forum where experts from the academic and the industry meet and exchange knowledge;
- Inspire the students by showing them the importance of the study of software engineering and
the challenging problems in the field;
- Provide an opportunity for students to obtain career advice from the speaker.

Seminar details
Structure:
This seminar consists of 10 weekly sessions, each lasts 2-3 hours. Typically, each session begins
with a talk by the session speaker, which lasts 1 - 2 hours, following by a discussion.

- All aspects of software engineering
- Web and Internet applications
- Mobile computing
- Information technology
Target audience:
About 20 - 40 people are expected to attend the seminar. The target audience includes
- Students in the international Software Engineering program
- Undergrad and postgrad students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,
and other branches of engineering
- University lecturers
Language:
The seminar (both the talks and the discussions) is conducted in English.
Time:
Each seminar session lasts from 9:00 till 12:00 on every Friday, starting from 9 June. The actual schedule for each seminar session may vary.
Venue:
The seminar takes place in room IC-02 at the International College in the Ladkrabang campus of KMITL.
There are whiteboards, computer projectors, and slide projectors available for speakers.
