We would like to invite you to attend the 5th International Symposium on Biocontrol and Biotechnology which will be held at Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai Campus, Nongkhai Province, Thailand during November 1-3, 2007. As we all have known that a lot of research activities in the areas of Biocontrol and Biotechnology have been carried out in various parts of the world including Asian countries such as Thailand. This international symposium which runs continuously every year will be a forum for scientists and researchers from different countries to share their views and discuss on their advanced research work in these areas.

• Biodiversity as a source of biocontrol agents
• Biotechnology products
• Other areas related to biocontrol and biotechnology

Call for Papers

Prospective authors of oral and poster presentations are invited to submit abstracts in English for consideration before September 30th, 2007 Abstracts of less than 250 words should be submitted by electronic mail. Please use the format as specified in the KMITL Science and Technology Journal.

For poster presentation, please use A0 size (80x120cm).

Publication

Submission of full paper will be reviewed by peer reviewers. The acceptance of full paper will be published in KMITL Science and Technology Journal.
Authors who wish to publish a full paper should submit the full paper at the registration desk during the symposium.

The intention of organizing the International Symposium on Biocontrol and Biotechnology was established when the first symposium was held in Harbin Institute of Technology, P.R. China in 2002. Since then the second and third symposia were organized by King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand and Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, P.R. China, in 2004 and 2005, respectively. The fifth International Symposium which is organized by King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang together with Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai Campus, Thailand is the follow-up of the fourth International Symposium which was held by Lady Doak College, Madurai, India in 2006. The purpose and continuation of this symposium is to provide an opportunity for researchers and scientists in the fields of Biocontrol and Biotechnology to interact and promote research on both theory and practice of Biocontrol and Biotechnology.
